I heard you speak at a 4-H activity and it made me realize that a friend of mine needs help. I knew he was doing heroine but no one was doing anything. It's scary because he would just go crazy and I didn't know what to do. He's now trying to quit and things have been so much better with him. I just wanted to say thanks because listening to you made me see that he really needed help, and I needed to do something before he was hurt. Your brother was probably a great guy just like my friend, but they make bad decisions. Sorry for your loss and thank you again.

a year ago in march, I lost 5 of my really good freinds, 4 were very young and older guy. They were drinking and driving, just ut having fun. They crashed in the molt @ Grizzly Island Road in Suisun, Ca.(it was on the news), The one thing that upsets me, is that the girl did NOT have any alcohol in here system, I know how it is. I hope everything turns out well. Other: please watch over your children, it happens so fast,"it will never happen to me"... Thats when it usually does.

I am very sorry for what happened to Pete. It is very sad and when Marci came to our school to talk to us about it it almost mad me want to cry. I had to blink back a couple of tears but I got through it. If there is anything that I could do to help please email me and I will do anything to help. Your speech made a HUGE impact on me and it made me see how much my friends were doing it and i didnt think that it was that bad but until you informed me about what could happen.Thank you for everything and email me if I could help with your public speechs and/or get togethers of any sort. thank you very much nikki

Marci-
I just wanted to say thanks for sharing with me and my school your story. When I looked around, and talked to my friends afterwards, they all said the same thing. That was that "they could'nt believe that something like that could happen to someone like Pete." I think that you helped many students here at NMS learn to make the right choice. I can't even imagine that pain that you and your family has been through. I will keep you, Pete, and your family in my prayers. Good luck and good job having the courage to speak out against drugs and overdose.
