Marci, your doing a great job passing around Pete's story. It looks like its making many see the dangers of the drugs out there and how it affects their family and other loved ones. Its hard to think of Pete being gone, I wish I could have known him better. I'm sure Pete problably would have wished he had somebody like you to warn him of the dangers of Heroin. Keep up the good work and if you need any help with anything let me know!
Love,
Jess

i AM REALLY SORRY ABOUT PETE, I REALLY FEEL FOR HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS AND I AM GOING TO SHARE THIS WITH MY SON AS HE HAS A DRUG PROBLEM= HE HAS PROBABLY DONE EVERY DRUG THERE IS EXCEPT HEROINE, HE HAS BEEN IN TROUBLE WITH THE LAW SEVERAL TIMES AND WE HAVE ALWAYS BAILED HIM OUT WITH NOT MUCH CONSEQUENCES NOW HE IS FACING POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA WHICH THEY ARE GOING TO HIM ON PROBATION, BUT IF HE GOES TO COURT AND THEY DRUG TEST HIM HE WILL GO TO JAIL IF HE TESTS POSITIVE, HE WILL BE 17 IN TWO WEEKS AND IN TEXAS 17 IS CONSIDERED AN ADULT SO HE WOULD GO TO THE ADULT JAIL I AM VERY CONCERNED HE KEEPS SAYING HE IS QUITING BUT EVERYTIME I TURN AROUND I CATCH HIM DOING SOME FORM OF DRUG HE HAS EVEN STOLEN MONEY FROM ME AND XANAX FROM WHICH I HAVE TO TAKE FOR ANXIETY SO I HAVE TO HIDE THEM, MY BIGGEST FEAR IS SOME DAY HE WILL OVERDOSE, SO HOPEFULLY PETE'S STORY WILL WAKE HIM UP. I HOPE HIS STORY WILL GET THROUGHT TO HIM ABOUT WHAT CAN HAPPEN WITH DRUGS. THANKS FOR THE STORY I WAS REALLY TOUCHED BY IT!!!

I just wanted to thank you for coming into our school and standing up to us and telling us how the real world is. A lot of us are going off to college soon and need to realize whats really happening out there. I know you have heard this many times but I am very sorry with what happened, and how your family, and you have to go through all this. I do not know of anyone who is this serious with drugs or is in danger, but you telling us your story made me realize a lot and I literally had chills running up and down my spine. I just wanted to sit there and cry for your family and you. Once again thank you very much for coming in and talking to us seniors at Huron High School. You made a difference.

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change. The courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the diferrence. This simple little prayer seems to get me through the most difficult times. For those of you that may need help give it a try. What can it hurt? I'm an addict in recovery and I know it works for me.

I am so sorry to have read about your brothers death. I am a recovering addict. My brother too was addicted to heroin he ODed a couple of times. He is now in the hospital he got hit by a bus in Vancouver British Columbia Canada. We don't know the whole story of what happened to him. But I do know it was because of his addiction. I have been clean for 20 months now and it is hard. I attend NA meetings and that keeps me strong. It is easy to get off the drugs, it's hard to stay clean I did it with the help of my family and the NA meetings because we are all recovering addicts who meet regularly to help eachother stay clean. I wish you and your family the very best and keep up the good work of carrying the message of addiction to other possible addicts. All the best Beverly
