Marci,
Hi, how is everything going? I hope it is all doing good. When you came to our school i just got really interested in your story. I would not be able to come and share that story with anybody you are really brave for doing that. To bad you didn't know that he was doing heroine before or I am sure you would do something to stop him.
~Best Wishes Marci and family~

I can relate to your situation alot. My dad was addicted to heroin, and many other drugs. It was so sad watching him kill himself internally, but when he would try to stop his withdraws would hurt him just as bad. Then on February 6 2004 he was in a car accident with a driver under the influence of cocaine and the driver of the vehicle he was in pulled out in front of a semi-truck and put my dad in I.C.U.,where he died 20 days later due to the accident,on Febrary 26 2004. I was 11 years old. I think it is the hardest thing i have ever faced in my life, and it so hard to go on every day with out him.

I can totally relate to your loss. It will be 3 years on March 30, 2005 that I lost my beautiful daughter to heroin. Her name was Stacey Wanger and she was only 22 years old. I am now raising her son, Colin, who is now 4 years old. He was 18 months when she died and doesn't remember a lot about her. It still hurts so bad that it sometimes feels like it only happened yesterday. I put her on the "Our Wall" website shortly after she died and I still go there almost daily to look at her beautiful picture. In some way, I feel like I'm visiting her when I go there. I always look at the new names added and read their stories. It's so sad to see how many names have been added since she died. I know someday I'll be with her again but it's still so hard having to live without her.

I have attended the rally @ the res. and took both my children to the new year's eve event.I just wanted to say bless you and your family for bringing the problems in our community to the forefront.keep it up; you are making a difference.I am soon to be 41y.o. and have maintained my sobriety for 10 years now after a 6 year heroin addiction when I lived in california. After I became sober I became pregnant with my 8 y.o. and a year later my 7 y.o.Adrianna who is friends with your daughter.I recently moved back to norwalk and have time during the day if have need of a speaker.Anything to help you to keep spreading the awful news of what's happening around our community.Thanx again for what you're accomplishing and for your courage in doing something for other's.

Hi Marci I was in Mrs.Chases class when you talked to us.I feel really bad about your brother. You must really have a lot of guts to be able to talk to all these people about your brother. If you were me i would of broke down crying. Its so sad that some people can have a good life one day and through it away the next.I really respect you for what you've done. Its amazing how some people can just care that much.Im sure you are changing so many peoples minds about using drugs.Because of you I will never think twice about using drugs.I would love to help out if you would put me on the list. Thanks For Your Time.

hi. im a 17 yr old female n i wanna become a psychologist dealing with young adults struggling with drugs n alcohol. i jus wanted to let u know dat i appreciate u and everyone else who goes around educating kids about da dangers of drug use. all dat psychologists can do is try a n reach deep within da victim's heart n try n get da victim treatment. but da real prevention lies within da person himself or herself n if ne family member or friends notice changes please find out more from dem by confronting...u wont be insulting them, instead ure HELPING them. dey might not realise it at dat point but someday deyll be grateful to u. alos..please if neone offers u to try ne kind os drug or ne substance u dunno, DO NOT ACCEPT. do not think about fittin in with dat group cos u dun wanna fit in with a grp of kids who risk deir lives as well as urs jus 4 da sake of having fun.
thanks marci for doing all u can for da benifit of others..we need ppl like u to make da world a more knowledgable place.
